Our Mission
Delmarva Fisheries Association (DFA) is a 501(c)(6) fisheries trade association affiliated with the Southeastern Fisheries Association (SFA).
DFA was established to defend, protect and enhance the commercial fishing industry in the Delmarva region of the United States for current participants as well as future generations, while promoting healthy and sustainable stocks of fish through lawful advocacy and representation.
Delmarva Fisheries Association:
- Is committed to working on behalf of its members in a fair and honest manner, in full compliance with all laws and regulations
- Serves as a vehicle for solving problems related to the seafood industry in the Delmarva region of the United States
- Emphasizes the benefits of cooperation and the commitment for protecting the natural water resources of the worl
- Supports honest policies at all levels of government: local, state, and federal, that use science-based conservation and management that complies with the Rule of Law
- Pledges to work with any group committed to the rejuvenation, economic stability, and growth of the fisheries in the Delmarva region
- Invites anyone with comparable interests to reach out and develop a dialogue
- Pledges to work with other groups for the good of the fisheries in a cordial and professional manner
